This sequel to Z. Rex throws Adam right back into the clutches of cyber-evolved dinosaurs. This time they're raptors on an island being used in a creepy, confusing experiment pitting packs against one another and using humans as prey. Exciting, suspenseful, and with a cyber twist on Jurassic Park, the story will capture dino-sci-fi fans' imaginations.

Milly, Michael, Jason, and Jess, the stepsiblings from Be a Genie in Six Easy Steps, have the world's only phoenix roosting in their garden. While collecting magical egg-hatching aids, the children stumble into a sinister trap to sap the phoenix's power. Some flat characterizations and a moralizing tone detract from the adventure, but the plot has good pacing and plenty of suspense.

New stepsiblings Milly, Jason, Michael, and Jess stumble upon a magical book that trains them to be genies. Their hijinks lead to a perilous battle against two menacing genies, who (it turns out) just want their magical book returned. The surprisingly benign ending would be more satisfying if the crisis were less conveniently resolved.

Hunting series.
Adam's father, the designer of "Ultra-Reality" video games, mysteriously disappears. This leaves Adam to find him--and to survive alongside the dinosaur-come-to-life from one of Dad's games. The story, fast-paced and suspenseful, fumbles a bit as the dinosaur struggles to talk with Adam. Gamers will enjoy the muddled but highly entertaining premise.
