A parent enumerates the life lessons he or she wants to impart to the listening child: that "protecting you is the most important thing," that "people like you" can do anything, that "we all deserve respect." Although the lessons are direct, even heavy-handed, this is a useful tool for parents and caregivers. In the serviceable art, hands (of all skin colors) embrace, sign, and otherwise reflect the text.
