Pumpkins County residents are super-stressed lately (social-media gossip isn't helping), and the Creeps think a people-eating troll clan is behind it. With the help of a troll fighter, the misfit crime-solving team tries to stop the monsters from eating townspeople. This graphic novel's unrelenting continuous narrative will test some readers' stamina, but several panels per page provide tons of details and strong comedic phrasing.

Misfit middle-school crime-solvers, the Creeps, team up with a witch to stop monster gourds from eating their whole town when a two-hundred-year-old curse comes to fruition during Pumpkins County's annual carving contest. Character-revealing dialogue with well-timed comic beats work in tandem with evocative panel art to move the plot of this third zany graphic novel forward.

A group of middle-school misfits called the Creeps by their classmates works together to solve mysteries. When a class dissection project goes awry--zombified electric frogs!--the Creeps use their detective powers to unveil who's behind the terrorizing monsters. This full-color graphic novel barrels though its plot with few transitions, but an ending twist and diverse, quirky characters will keep readers engaged.
