One night, a tiny seed sprouts in Billy's dirty belly button. By morning, he must wear heavy clothes to hide the bushy plant, and by afternoon it is too big to conceal. His parents rush him to the doctor to figure out how to get rid of the plant. This cautionary tale of a boy who wouldn't bathe is told in pedestrian rhyme, but the cartoon-like illustrations add humor.
