As a young dragon sets out to find his flame, he must "avoid aunties armed with arrows," "beware of barons bringing broadswords to breakfast," and otherwise navigate a world of elves, fairies, giants, etc. The dragon-on-a-quest concept could have been made clearer, but once readers get it, they'll be hooked. Springett's art, which ably displays the medieval milieu, matches his text's inventiveness.
