Children who are keen on math will enjoy learning and perfecting a dozen or so calculation tricks. These range in difficulty from finger multiplication with the nine-times table to long-division problems requiring number charts. Bland illustrations and crowded page spreads are off-putting, but the math "magic" is engaging and, for the most part, clearly explained. Glos.
