When Hippopotamus says he'd like to change colors, Chameleon gets the idea to offer all the jungle animals his colors. They happily accept but (not surprisingly) almost immediately come to regret their decisions. The lush vibrancy of Tashiro's illustrations is especially apparent in a wordless double-page spread showing all the animals with their new colors and patterns. The Spanish translation is accurate.
