In this tender and restrained story of moving on after loss, a young boy states matter-of-factly that there's a ghost in his house; he suspects it's his beloved cat. The ghost isn't frightening and even brings comfort as the boy can feel the spectral feline curled up on his bed. Atteberry keeps the spreads unfussy--the focus is always on the boy and cat--and even the palette is spare.

Papa loves the stinky swamp so much that his monster child wonders, "Do you love me as much...?" As they encounter creepy creatures galore, Papa repeatedly declares that he loves his little monster most. The message is more saccharine-sweet than spooky, but it delivers plenty of kid-pleasingly gross rhymes along the way. Cartoony digital illustrations feature entertaining details (e.g., a "Winnie the Boo!" headstone).

Playing outside in a rainstorm, monster Declan and his bunny friends are chased into a cave by thunder and lightning. When the clouds part, they're greeted by a rainbow. Like its predecessor (Bunnies!!!), this slight story is full of relatable emotions. A text limited to about a dozen onomatopoetic or weather-relevant words ("PUDDLES!!! / Splash! Splash! Splash!") is paired with dramatic, stormy digital illustrations.

A blue monster walks along: "Hello, tree. Hello, clouds." He can't contain himself, however, when he sees "Bunnies!!!" He enthusiastically chases after four frightened rabbits but loses them--"Bunnies?" Eventually the "BUNNIES!!!" recognize he's more friend than predator. There's not much variety in this slight text or the cartoon art, but the playful monster and sturdy bunnies have a silly charm.
