Munchem Academy series.
After saving Munchem Academy students from Headmaster Rooney's mind-altering machinery (The Boy Who Knew Too Much), aspiring thief Mattie is looking forward to normalcy. But his dad is now running the reform school, and he has some terrible, out-of-control ideas; meanwhile, Mattie is suspicious of wonky weather patterns and mysterious new-girl Delia. Once again, Mattie must thwart reckless adult plans in this darkly humorous mystery.

Munchem Academy series.
When "Good Boy" Mattie Larimore steals a train to impress his bad-boy brother, Carter, he's shipped off to Carter's reform school, Munchem Academy, where bad kids disappear and reappear curiously transformed. As Mattie works to expose the headmaster's conspiracy, he finds a surprising sense of belonging. Some plot threads don't fully come together, but a Lemony Snicket–like narration ably propels the mystery.
