Eyewitness Books series.
Clear color photos, a cursory text, and lots of captions introduce the topic of robotics. The focus is broad: the book superficially touches on how robots are used in industry, in education, in the operating room, and for undersea and outer-space research. The heavily illustrated book is browsable, although the layout is crowded even by the typically busy Eyewitness series's standards. Ind.
