Adventurer Sebastian Darke's third adventure finds him setting off in search of a legendary jungle city. The action slows as he and his companions help the inhabitants of a remote village, but picks up as they reach the lost city with its treasure and dangers. Caveney flavors his somewhat familiar story with romance and humor.

In Sebastian's second adventure, he's joined by captain Jenna Swift and her crew while following a treasure map to a fabled pirate trove. A shape-changing witch and a shipload of pirates are also trying to find the treasure, leading to complications and danger. Sebastian's problems with girls contribute to the humor in this entertaining, if not exactly original, pirate tale.

Armed with his father's jester costume and caravan, teenage half-elf Sebastian sets out to find a job. On the way, he's beset by wild animals--and wilder men--and rescues a princess, aided by his talking buffalope and a "hip-high" warrior. Though the plot offers few surprises, the straightforward writing and snappy humor are entertaining. Occasional full-page drawings illustrate the action.
