This book introduces the reader to some basic facts about the life of an alligator, such as what they eat, both as babies and adults, and their characteristics as reptiles. While the facts are thin and many things are simplified, some comparisons, such as contrasting the fifteen-foot length of a male alligator to a pick-up truck, may be helpful to young readers. The text is illustrated with color artwork.
