This whimsical book asks, “Why do cats love books so much?” In just a few words per page, several possibilities are explored, including the appeal of scratchy covers and characters they can relate to. But the speaker finally comes to the conclusion that it’s because “books make us feel at home.” Coco’s mixed-media illustrations, primarily in yellow and purple, feature cozy scenes of kids snuggling with and reading to their cats.
