(2) K-3 Illustrated by Hilary Knight. In this new, refurbished edition (intended for publication in 1964), the Plaza's infamous six-year-old resident is still enchantingly self-absorbed and out of control. Knight's signature black-and-white line drawings, here accented with blue in addition to the classic red and pink, have lost none of their verve, wit, and panache. Thompson may have pulled the plug in 1964, but fans will be grateful for her relatives' decision to start the faucet running again.
