Illustrated by
Alexandra Finkeldey.
Animals in a field express worries about various dangers, but the titular horse, named Now, reminds them, “At this moment, all is well.” During a storm, Now leads the others to a barn, where they find understanding with previously feared animals who are also taking shelter. In this reassuring story, Now shares that she does feel afraid sometimes, but provides helpful strategies for those moments. Striking palette shifts in the illustrations are effective in reflecting mood.
