Each book explores the group's history, including family life and food sources; government relocation efforts such as the Trail of Tears (Creek) and Wisconsin Death March (Ojibwe); and concludes with information about how the groups live today. Though cursory, the books could serve as appropriate introductions for third and fourth graders. Photos and historical art adequately illustrate the texts. Reading list, timeline. Glos., ind.
