On the facing pages are Chwast's signature cleanly composed illustrations in muted hues, many of which fold out to reveal larger scenes.

(3) K-3 Illustrated by Seymour Chwast. A simple, straightforward text and clean, eye-pleasing illustrations tell the story of Passover and how it is celebrated in many homes. The use of flaps to highlight aspects of the story and parts of the Seder ceremony will engage younger readers. The sophistication of the layout and Chwast's effective use of color will appeal to the whole family.
