A noisy young dinosaur marches through the jungle, creating havoc and frightening the (non-prehistoric) animals: "STOMP, STOMP! / BOOM, POW!" Bright watercolors with soft edges picture the self-centered dino knocking over trees, plopping in a pond, etc. until the loudest "STOMP!" heralds a larger dinosaur that takes the little guy home. The spare but delightfully loud text will get young listeners chanting.

Bright, shiny super-saturated digital illustrations draw readers into this playful rhyming tale. Radar, a monkey, looks for his fellow animal astronauts to help prepare Gamma Ray Pizzas and Moon Cakes for the Astroblast Snack Shack's incoming alien customers. Enjoyable (if superfluous) search-and-find games and other challenges are found on most spreads, with an answer key and "extra missions" at the back.

The Mighty Giants, an all-animal soccer team, needs a replacement for their star player. They approach Biggie Bear, only to discover that bigger isn't necessarily better. The story's humor is enhanced by a subplot involving physically imposing Biggie's dorky zeal for stamp collecting. Chunky digitally rendered art, though less sophisticated in composition, calls to mind D. B. Johnson's work.

Eight dogs pull up their cars to the starting line, rev their engines, and...they're off! Pit stops, breakdowns, crashes--it's all here, except that the radio station is WBRK and billboards advertise Papa Scruffy's Bone Biscuits. Also, no one gets hurt, and everyone wins. Snappy rhymed text zips along in time with the racecars, and the zany illustrations reveal amusing new details at each rereading.
