Working Here series.
Children excited by these likely field trip destinations will be interested in these behind-the-scenes guides to occupations. The books briefly profile various jobs, from marine institute director to maintenance worker; however, no information about educational backgrounds is provided. The color photos are mediocre but make the jobs appealing. Ind.

Changes series.
With minimal texts and oversized photographs, each of these volumes describes the basic steps involved in making finished industrial products from raw materials. The friendly tone of the texts is inviting, but the grainy, muddy photographs are, on the whole, unimaginatively composed (due perhaps to the fact that they were taken primarily from stock sources).

Habitats series.
Each book contains an informative text with emphasis on the animal life in swamps, urban parks, caves, and the seashore. Only occasionally is information about plant life or geology of the environments included. The color photographs and crudely drawn illustrations in the sometimes awkward layouts would benefit from more detailed information on their contents.
