Well-crafted characters and descriptive language add appeal to this paranormal-romance/thriller hybrid.

Sparks fly when the Intercessor Council (a secret organization that works to help "Hindered" spirits move on after death) pairs dutiful Paul with angry and defiant Vivienne to create a new ghost-busting partnership. Lindsey's novel, a blend of paranormal powers, eternal romantic companionship, and secret missions, is an easy, escapist read that builds on its companion book, Shattered Souls, but can also stand on its own.
