This cumulative story begins with the marsh, mud, and reeds and proceeds to catalogue marsh-dwelling creatures including mayflies, minnows, and, lastly, hungry eaglets at the top of the food chain. Illustrated with utilitarian art, the text's repetition may prove tedious for some, but the book should be useful in habitat and food chain studies. Glos.
