One skeleton's dismayed "Sí" at having to throw out their now-broken bike is rebutted with a determined "No”: they won't give up on repairing it. Now with a newly modified tandem bike, the skele-friends daredevil jump into the Skeletown sunset together. The text demonstrates a range of meanings for "sí" and "no" (the only two words in the book) with black, white, and blood orange images that are jam-packed with friendly skeleton details.

(3) 1-3 Gumazing Gum Girl! series. With Luke Reynolds. Gum Girl is Gabby Gomez's superhero alter-ego. Her dentist father doesn't approve of gum-chewing, so she has to keep her identity secret while dealing with a bully at school, defeating a villain, and being a good sister. Assisted by black, white, pink, and purple comic book–style illustrations, this second installment maintains the series' over-the-top tone. The fast-paced text includes scattered Spanish phrases.

(3) 1-3 Gum Girl! series. Gabby Gomez loves to chew gum. Despite her mother's warning, she chews until she is literally transformed into sticky superhero Gum Girl. She uses her superpowers to stop a robbery, rescue a kitten, and prevent an airplane crash, all while maintaining her secret identity. The action-packed story and comic book–style illustrations are perfect for readers with an appetite for ludicrous superhero fare.

(3) K-3 When naughty ghosts, vampires, and "T.P.-tossin'" mummies threaten to ruin the fun, in swoops the "Yee-HA-lloween" kid. After he's ambushed by Goodie Goblins, the kid's trick-or-treatin' pardners come to the rescue. The cowboy-lingo and super-cute round-faced Halloween heroes are more upbeat than scary. A wash of pumpkin, black, and gold complement the tale.
