Although the goal of this mini-biography is to teach values, the only heavy-handed moments are in the concluding Study Guide's questions and answers. In an overcrowded design, sprightly prose and mediocre cartoon illustrations introduce the inspirational civil rights leader. The "value" that King embodies is an integral, but not overwhelming, element.
