Gods and Warriors series.
In this thrilling entry, Hylas and Pirra have made their way to mainland Greece, where they can finally try to recover the dagger of Koronos, defeat the Crows, and find Hylas's missing sister. The story uses well-worn series elements (such as old friends and enemies reappearing and the protagonists splitting up), but the intense action and revelations make for an undeniably exciting final act.

Gods and Warriors series.
Hylas and Pirra are still on the run and still searching for the dagger of Koronos. Familiar thematic elements of the chase and meeting new friends and enemies are present in this fourth adventure. However, the new Egyptian setting, with its history, mythology, and mysticism, injects some fresh life into the series. The action, along with a burgeoning romantic subplot, keeps the story moving.

Gods and Warriors series.
Hylas and Pirra, having survived the volcanic destruction of Thalakrea, find themselves on Crete, still fighting against the Crows. This third installment continues the good-versus-evil battle scenes and the separation/reunification structure. That said, Paver's world remains interesting, and the book's mixture of Bronze Age history, mythology, action, and engaging characters will have readers wanting to turn the pages.

Hylas and Pirra, separated at the end of the prior novel, find their fates still intertwined as they both end up on Thalakrea, an island on the verge of volcanic destruction. New and old friends and enemies vie to avenge wrongs and fulfill prophecies. History, mythology, and good storytelling make for compelling action that propels the novel to its cliffhanger ending.

In Mycenaean Greece, young goatherd Hylas and priestess Pirra are on the run from the same enemy. The pair is forced to join together to accomplish their own goals. Along the way, they learn to trust each other and eventually become friends. Bronze Age gods, fierce warriors, and heroes-in-the-making take center stage in this action-packed story.

Torak goes in search of Eostra, the evil Eagle Owl Mage. On his travels he learns more about his past and about the power of friendship, ultimately confronting Eostra with help from unexpected allies. Paver again depicts a detailed and imaginative prehistoric human/animal culture in this dramatic conclusion to the series.

In this fifth series entry, Torak sets out to avenge the killing of a close friend. Traveling into the Deep Forest to find and defeat the evil mage, Thiazzi, Torak learns more about his world and himself. Fans of the series, drawn again into Torak's dangerous prehistoric world, will be intrigued by his difficult choices.

Torak and his friend Renn travel to the arctic wilderness to rescue Wolf, encountering a variety of creatures and humans. Fans of the series will find additional adventure and intrigue here as Torak's magical skill continues to develop.

In this first in a six-book saga, a boy with special powers, the wolf he loves like a brother, and a skeptic who becomes their greatest ally embark on a quest to protect their prehistoric clan of hunter/gatherers. After slogging through the opening chapters, readers will be rewarded with deftly paced suspense and plenty of action.
