The vulture Zounds's terse and repeated prediction of "Trouble" causes Wizard and his dog Wart to use magic spells to battle fire ants, floods, and cold weather with comic results. Real trouble however, is presaged by the arrival of a pretty bird who greets Zounds with an enthusiastic cry of "Sweetie!" Lighthearted watercolors fill the pages of this easy chapter book.
