When the brightly lit George Washington Bridge is built, the little red lighthouse thinks that its important work has been taken away. There is real personality in the pictures and story and a satisfying ending when the lighthouse discovers its light is still needed. This fascimile edition uses, for the first time, the actual watercolors that Lynd Ward painted rather than his three-color art based on the watercolors.
