Max's mischief annoys everyone in the family as well as the neighbors and mailman because she steals food, digs up flowers, and generally creates doggy havoc. When the vet explains that dogs of Max's breed need lots of exercise, the family complies, and Max improves--mostly. The slim story is extended by acrylic interpretations of large-headed Max in action.
