(3) K-3 "The parrot Tico Tango / had a round, yellow mango, / But it wasn't quite as yellow / as the lemon of Marcello." So begins this cumulative cautionary tale of a greedy parrot who keeps poaching his jungle-animal friends' grub. The rhymes are unusually taut and rhythmic, and the mixed-media art, which features fabric swatches, amounts to a feast of tropical colors.
