Thanks to a magical wish, a lonely toy snowman escapes his snow globe and dances with a beautiful ballerina on her music box. Unfortunately, the magic only lasts an hour, and the snowman can't bear to leave. After a suspenseful buildup, the lovebirds get a sweet, satisfying resolution. Though sloppy at times, the illustrations give the toys plenty of personality.

Duck, Otter, Toad, and Hedgehog find roses left on their doorsteps. They argue about who is "in love." It turns out the flowers are from a new neighbor, Mole, who, after a lovely day with the animal gang, becomes a platonic friend. Quirky illustrations in greens, browns, and reds animate the sweet but ultimately forgettable story about friendship.

Duck's pompous friend, Toad, is busy reading and doesn't have time to talk about the pen Duck found. Duck decides to write his life story and have Toad read it aloud. The illustrations show that Duck's story is just scribbles, but Toad does a fine job interpreting the mess. A comforting message of friendship is embedded in this quirky tale.
