(4) K-3 Illustrated by Mónica Armiño. "At the boardwalk by the sea / Days are spent with family / Life relaxes; time is free / At the boardwalk by the sea." A repetitive verse recounts the daily activity of this beach-side attraction. Though the meter and pace of the text is regimented, cheery illustrations capture all the familiar boardwalk details, from fudge to arcade games to carousel rides.
