This tenth installment is another slim but pleasant-enough story about mermaids with relatable school, friend, and family dramas. She accuses Kiki of stealing it, but when Pearl finds herself face to face with a shark (the real culprit), it's Kiki who rescues her. Lively black-and-white line illustrations pepper the text, but Pearl is rather unlikable in this fourth book. Glos.
