The titular "odd princess" goes on a royal eating spree, swallowing everything she comes across, from a pea, to a crown, a queen, and an entire castle. Peppy rhyming couplets introduce the princess's newest snack before the cumulative list is rehashed, concluding each time with, "Then burped with glee." Bright cartoonlike digital art tracks the silliness until the fitting happily-ever-after resolution.

When his parents announce that it's bath time, a boy goes in search of tub toys: a rubber duck, a wind-up frog, a beach ball, trucks, blocks, animals--even an egg beater--until at last there is no room left for the young bather. Some of the book's rhymes don't scan, but the digitally rendered illustrations extend the humorous text by showing the boy's imagination at work as he fills the tub.
