K-3
Illustrated by
Federico Fabiani.
A cat is happy after being adopted by a little girl until it learns this new home comes with rules such as “NO eating the bread” and “NO chasing the baby.” Violating the latter leads to admonishment, “BAD KITTY!” The cat decides to quit the family, but outside is cold, wet, and scary. “I guess I’d made a few mistakes.” A happy reunion ensues, and the cat learns to (somewhat) follow the rules. Tracy’s humorous text pairs well with Fabiani’s digital illustrations filled with visual humor.
