Syncopated verse describes the members of a swinging cat jazz band in New Orleans. After playing all night, the cats get a fish and a bowl of milk and chill out in the park. The story line doesn't go anywhere, but the verse is peppy and the color artwork, though not particularly sophisticated in showing the anthropomorphic cats, portrays many New Orleans landmarks in jazzy colors.
