This reissue is welcome for its enthusiastic presentation of the facts and lore about the origins of the four unique U.S. horse breeds: the Morgan, Standardbred, American Saddle Horse, and Tennessee Walker. Moore's journalistic style is engaging, though his imagined conversations and occasional pronoun confusions create certain difficulties.
