(3) PS Illustrated by Teri Weidner. Baby Bear enjoys spending time one-on-one with different members of his family: Momma, Daddy, Brother, Aunt Grace, Uncle Roy, and Nana. Each night at bedtime he and a different relative share a specially inscribed book that touches on the day's activity. Cozy illustrations of affectionate bears accompany the pleasant, low-key story, which puts in a plug for reading together and for commemorating life's events with books.

(4) K-3 Illustrated by Teri L. Weidner. This collection of Brown's poems, most of which have not been previously published, contains twenty-four rhymes suited to young children. Some of the poems are funny, others serious or imaginative, but all focus on the small details of life and give readers language to describe the world. Weidner's watercolor and colored-pencil illustrations are sentimental and much less interesting than the poetry.

(3) 1-3 Illustrated by Teri Weidner. In this small chapter book, Jeremy, a toy bunny, makes his own way from the English cottage where he was lovingly made by hand to his new owner in North Carolina. As he travels, he meets a number of individuals--both human and animal--who help him along his way and protect him from danger. Appropriately soft artwork illustrates this gentle, Christian-themed fantasy.
