Child's Day series.
Photographs by
Dalia Khattab.
Two series books each introduce an African city by following a child through a day at home and at school. Illustrated with color photos, the informal text conveys basic cultural information. Non-English words (with translations) are scattered throughout and listed in the glossary without pronunciation help, but a page on language at book's end includes pronunciation for a few common phrases. A short reading list is appended. Ind. [Review covers these Child's Day titles: In an Egyptian City and In a South African City.]
