This book is a lap-size bilingual board-book version of the story about ten little piggies cavorting atop a child's fingers. On most spreads, the English is on the left-hand page while the accurate Spanish translation is on the right (on the last two spreads, both are on the same page). The format makes it a great choice for sharing with children.

In Walsh's classic stories about clever little white mice, three mice learn about primary colors and outfox a cat (Pintura), and ten mice outsmart a hungry snake (Cuenta). The small trim size of these well-translated Spanish-language board books is perfect for little hands, although the pictures are also quite tiny. Review covers these titles: Cuenta de ratón and Pintura de ratón.

In this bilingual edition of I Went Walking, the simple, repetitive text and bold illustrations make this guessing-game concept book (a child goes for a walk and collects a procession of colorful animals) work perfectly in a lap-size board book format. The text finds its own natural rhythm in Spanish. An excellent choice for early literacy efforts with Spanish-speaking toddlers.
