Henry's best friend was killed in a mountain fall; Zavion lost almost everything in Hurricane Katrina. The two ten-year-olds eventually meet after Zavion gets Henry's jeans from a New Orleans Salvation Army, and Henry travels there to retrieve a special marble from the jeans' pocket. Alternating chapters tell this memorable story of two boys finding each other in a time of need.
