Following an introduction outlining Cuba's turbulent history, the first third of this book comprises photographs of facts about modern Havana; the latter portion trails twelve-year-old Ana and her parents through everyday activities and special events. This big-hearted tribute doesn't know if it wants to honor a country or a family, but the intimate, action-packed color photos more than justify its existence.
