More backstory emerges, lending pathos to the lighthearted graphic-novel series. The vibrantly colored digital illustrations shine, particularly in minion Rosemaster's Art Nouveau–inspired scenes. Abrupt shifts in location nevertheless create a sense of simultaneity for the myriad story lines in the series.
