Simon uses remarkable images from the Hubble Telescope for a slide-show-like tour of stars, galaxies, and nebulae (as well as a few images from the solar system). The full-page images are consistently spectacular, but it is the detail-rich text that rounds out their significance. The author's skilled use of analogies helps readers make sense of the space phenomena.
