This story relates the tale of an abandoned dog who transcends his circumstances. He ultimately saves an elderly woman from perishing in her burning house, a teenager from drowning in an abandoned distillery--and every pit bull in his community from extermination. Though the adventures are dramatic, the story is more a tract in defense of pit bulls than a novel.
