On a Peruvian island in the Amazon, ten-year-old Doyli and her uncle care for orphaned monkeys until the animals are able to live on their own. Some of the accompanying photos are too dark, and information on habitat loss, poaching, and the effects of greed is awkwardly inserted. Nevertheless, this account of the difference one child's efforts can make is interesting and inspirational.
