Travel-weary, he returns to his old neighborhood, slipping onto the White House grounds to be discovered by its young inhabitants. "Daddy, Daddy, can we keep him?" they ask. "Yes, we can!" is the response. Illustrations show a good-natured pup finding a happy home.
