(3) K-3 Published spring 1998. Flix, a pug dog born to cat parents, endures prejudices from both species as he grows up, but eventually wins everyone over with his bravery, good nature, and wit. Although the story's message is obvious, the tone is lively, and the playful depiction of the anthropomorphized feline and canine populations have an urbane charm.
