On Friday, Bonnie Bumble's rooster loses his "cock-a-doodle-doo," until she finds him a dialogue balloon hanging from a clothing line. On Monday, her pussy willows--depicted as kittens blooming on a tree--make such a racket that the other farm animals grow annoyed. These one-joke stories are pleasant enough, but both the writing and ink and watercolor illustrations tend toward the precious.
