Girl in a Cage

(2) 4-6 In 1306, King Edward I of England ordered that three captured female relatives of King Robert the Bruce of Scotland, including his eleven-year-old daughter Marjorie, should be imprisoned in public cages. From this fact, the authors create a well-paced, high-energy adventure told from Marjorie's point of view. Despite her somewhat modern affect, Marjorie is a believable heroine with whom readers will easily identify.
