Each object has a story to Homer Henry Hudson, explorer, collector, and curator of the Curio Museum. Supplemented with object descriptions and visual thumbnails, the museum's elderly dog caretaker (or is he H.H.H. himself?) impresses upon the reader the importance of close observation. Rock's finely detailed sepia-toned paintings complement the antiqued vibe, but sophisticated language and musings may baffle some younger readers.
