(4) PS Illustrated by Marc Brown. A boy imagines the fun he'd have if his house was overtaken by animals ("The bats would be dealing my cards on the ceiling. / The squirrels would be squealing. The paint would be peeling"). The rhymes, while cute, amount to a tiring litany of wild-and-crazy shenanigans; the action in Brown's zany mixed-media art is appropriately rambunctious and energetic.
